Quds Day

You are insistent, calling again. You want me to tell you the story of Scheherazade, who rocks the sad king on her knees as she sings him tales from wonderland. Yet you know that I am not Scheherazade, and that one of the world’s greatest wonders is that I am unable to enter my country or pass through the region around it – Liana Badr

No people anywhere in the world would accept being expelled en masse from their own country; how can anyone require the people of Palestine to accept a punishment which nobody else would tolerate? – Bertrand Russell

If you are asking for my point of view, I would say that the Palestinians should go back to Palestine – Hassan Nasrallah

The victory march will continue until the Palestinian flag flies in Jerusalem and in all of Palestine – Yasser Arafat

You cannot continue to victimize someone else just because you yourself were a victim once—there has to be a limit – Edward W. Said

It would be my greatest sadness to see Zionists (Jews) do to Palestinian Arabs much of what Nazis did to Jews – Albert Einstein

How much longer is the world willing to endure this spectacle of wanton cruelty?- Bertrand Russell

Do you know, Mother, that Haj Salem was buried alive in his home? Does he tell you stories in heaven now? I wish I had had a chance to meet him. To see his toothless grin and touch his leathery skin. To beg him, as you did in your youth, for a story from our Palestine. He was over one hundred years old, Mother. To have lived so long, only to be crushed to death by a bulldozer. Is this what it means to be Palestinian? – Susan Abulhawa

I try, I may not succeed but I try.

Spilt –

Pitter-patter, spark.

Ignite my spark, twitch.

Itch my twitch till my twitch is no more.

Sit and stare and wonder and whine.

White wine, with an ice cube to dilute.

Salute the fallen in life.

Life that is energy and soul and surrender to sin.

Sin of envy and lust.

Must lust, glitter.

And spark.

Always the spark or else you will fall, like the fallen in life.

Comprehend my nonsense, will you – not?

Never nonsense in this nonsensical sense, or sensibility.

Smile Austen.

Smile Sally.

Sally who?

Pitter-patter spark and spatter, on my wall.

Crawl like a spider that sparks, through the cracks but alas we splat.

Splat the spider and spatter on my wall.

We will all fall like the fallen in life.

Smile.

AP – Writing one.

I think this is the first piece of personal writing I post to the public. I sincerely hope someone enjoys it.

Also, here is a picture I took in my favorite war zone.

Ride on little one - WZ

AP –

I smell

I see

I breathe

Putrid.

Note to self, cheap air carriers are a host to smelly feet.

Note to self, the Arabs as an entire entity are corrupt.

Note to self, addiction is bad.

Note to self, some men are handsome.

Note to self, this man is handsome.

Note to self, you always think you are dying when a plane lands.

Note to self, be the change you want to see in the world.

Note to self, never harbor hate for anyone because something bad will  happen to them.

Note to self, the pipes on Florence.

Note to self, it is okay to cry when you are hormonal.

Note to self, it is okay to cry when your are not hormonal.

Note to self, no companionship exists with another individial.

Note to self, being alone is morbid.

Note to self, being alone is the only way one should live life.

Note to self, I was not sarcastic.

Note to self, I am not a very good writer.

We are starting to descend into another war zone,

7,688 feet.

Thank you.

Feet go far, don’t they?

I have come to a realization that I have a foot fetish, but not in the classic sense. I enjoy feet because they take you on one adventure to the next. I often find myself walking into walls, they are quite excited.

These pictures are what led me to this realization. Across the world, with those I love!

Wanderlustful.
